Peshawar : PTI leader Shandana Gulzar has said that Governor's rule should be imposed first in Balochistan, where 80% of the government's writ has expired. She said that terrorism is happening in my constituency on a daily basis, has the Federal Interior Minister ever visited these areas? The inquiry into the Police Lines blast has not come to light till today.

Shandana Gulzar said that the country's economic condition is bad, inflation is on the rise, those with Form 47 are flouting the constitution, we do not want confrontation, the army and police are ours, we are people with books, not ships. Federation and PTI face to face , Political crisis intensifies

Government begins open discussion on constitutional emergency and possibilities of Governor's rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Governor's rule casts shadow over KPK government, October 4 march enters decisive phase, more containers arrive in Islamabad

The political front heats up in Islamabad and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, federation and PTI come face to face. The political crisis has intensified after the federal government began open discussions on the possibilities of constitutional emergency and governor's rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while PTI has announced to continue the October 4 Islamabad long march at all costs.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has made it clear that he will lead the march on October 4 and the first phase is scheduled to reach Swabi, while PTI Chairman Barrister Gauhar also confirmed that the call for the march will be maintained and called it a peaceful political activity. On the other hand, there have been calls from within PTI to postpone the march. The party’s provincial information secretary Shaukat Yousafzai has written a letter to the leadership suggesting further postponing the march due to the current security situation and fears of a possible emergency. Meanwhile, the federal government’s statements have become more stringent.

Federal ministers are calling the law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa the basis for Governor’s rule or other constitutional measures, while PPP Secretary General Nayyar Bukhari has also said that his party will give constitutional suggestions on the issue of Governor’s rule if the federation consults. Security preparations are also underway in Islamabad in view of the possible march on October 4. Containers are present around important places, especially the Red Zone, and a security cordon has been maintained. Thus, the real test will now be on October 4: on the one hand, PTI’s Islamabad march, on the other hand, the federation’s echo of constitutional options against the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, while there are also reports of behind-the-scenes political contacts.

However, no final secret agreement or deal has been independently confirmed. One thing is clear in the current situation that by October 4, the political tension between the federation and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has entered a more critical phase. This is breaking news, not analysis; and I have deliberately not made unconfirmed definitive claims like “Governor’s rule is about to be imposed” or “a deal has been struck.” The biggest confirmed news at this time is that the march is ongoing, the Chief Minister has announced its leadership, and an open discussion on constitutional options against KP has begun at the federal level. It is also noteworthy that more than a dozen containers have arrived in Islamabad at this time and are being placed in the red zone in addition to the internal and external routes.

Threats of Gour Narraj cannot move us back from our position, Sohail Afridi

The policy of throwing Khyber Pakhtunkhwa into the fire of terrorism again is unacceptable, the people have been subjected to experiments of a special mind

The state has been informed repeatedly but it has been declared as our propaganda, the sacrifices of the people of the province, police and army have been sacrificed for unrest

Peshawar: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi has said that he will not move back from his position due to threats of Gour Narraj or emergency. In a meeting related to law and order, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi said that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, police and army have made countless sacrifices for the establishment of peace, more than 80,000 people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have sacrificed their lives but the peace achieved after 2 decades of sacrifices has been sacrificed for unrest.

He said that the federal government was continuously warned until the terrorists left and were resettled. The federal government was repeatedly informed of the threat, but our statements were called propaganda. The current policy of the state was repeatedly said to be wrong. Sohail Afridi further said that the people of the province were made a target for experiments with a specific mindset, and the policy of throwing Khyber Pakhtunkhwa into the fire of terrorism again is unacceptable.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Emergency or Governor's Rule, Debate Begins

Islamabad: Tensions between the federal government and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government have created an uncertain political situation in the province, where the federal government is considering various options including Governor's Rule in the province, while the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has also decided on a counter-strategy. It was reported that the federal government is considering the option of imposing Governor's Rule or Emergency in the province, while the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is also considering the option of dissolving the assembly or changing the Chief Minister. After the postponement of the September 27 protest, various comments are being made in political circles. Due to the worsening law and order situation in the province and the increasing terrorism, the federal government is considering various constitutional measures. The debate regarding Governor's Rule or Emergency has gained momentum.

I will accept the resignation of the Chief Minister if it comes, Governor Faisal Karim Kundi

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has said that Chief Minister Sohail Afridi is leaving, and Ali Amin Gandapur is coming, we do not know anything about this, however, if the resignation comes from the Chief Minister's House through regular channels, I will accept it. According to the statement issued by the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has contacted the federal government and talked to the Prime Minister to call a federal cabinet meeting in Peshawar and demanded that a federal cabinet meeting be called at the Governor's House on law and order, he has met the Chief Minister and has also requested to call a meeting of the App Case Committee in Peshawar. The Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said that the Tehreek-e-Insaf is not capable of even a long or short march at this time, giving a date on the date does not work. Faisal Karim Kundi said that Sohail Afridi condemned the drone attacks but did not condemn the attack by quadcopters from Afghanistan. He said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has not condemned the attack by quadcopters from Afghanistan in the assembly. No resolution has been brought against the helicopter attacks and why are they silent?

The KP government meets all the constitutional grounds on which Governor's rule can be imposed, Rana Sanaullah

On the other hand, the Prime Minister's Advisor on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah has said that the option of Governor's rule exists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, but no decision has been made on it yet. In an interview, Rana Sanaullah said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government meets all the conditions on the basis of which the federal government can constitutionally impose Governor's rule in any province, however, no decision has been made yet, but this decision may be made because the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is not being run according to the constitution and law.

Postponing the long march is a political strategy, Shaukat Yousafzai

Government negotiates on TV channels, PTI is ready if it talks practically, PTI leaders

Peshawar: PTI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Secretary Shaukat Yousafzai declared postponing the long march a political strategy. In a statement, Shaukat Yousafzai said that the federal government will be forced to kneel, the government negotiates on TV channels, PTI is ready if it talks practically, the federal government will have to come to talks.

He said that after the 18th Amendment, there can be no interference in the affairs of the provinces, the Police Act is the province's authority, they want the police to be independent, that is why they have enacted legislation. Shaukat Yousafzai said that PTI's demand is that the founder of PTI should be provided treatment in the light of court orders.

Earlier, YTI leader Shaukat Yousafzai denied the news of ending the long march and said that if the federal government negotiates, some decision regarding the long march will be taken. Maybe, in a conversation with a private TV news channel, Shaukat Yousafzai has not made any decision to end the long march, the PTI's preparations are complete, the long march will be peaceful and government resources will not be used. The PTI leader said that the federal government has violated the court decision by blocking the roads through containers.

Government wants to pin PTI to the wall: Sher Afzal Marwat

Islamabad: Sher Afzal Marwat said that behind-the-scenes negotiations have been going on with PTI for three years, the government wants to pin PTI to the wall, the statements of government ministers are an open challenge.

Talking to a private TV news channel, Sher Afzal Marwat said that the long march has become so long even before it started, the Chief Minister is now talking about negotiations.

He said that PTI is on the back foot and the government is openly playing strokes, PTI’s only fortress is Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the authorities and the government are thinking of depriving PTI of the fortress.

Sher Afzal Marwat said that I am not a supporter of Governor’s rule, they will become political martyrs, there is a lot of anger before the removal of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa ministers, the imposition of Governor’s rule will increase further hatred.

He said that the correct instructions of the founder are not being conveyed to the party, nothing can be said until the central leadership meets the founder.

Sher Afzal Marwat said that Barrister Gohar Bani is the choice of PTI, the choice of the founder is not accepted in the party, I think his own march will have started before the march.

He said that it is likely that some way will come out to change the government, the founder PTI entrusted the responsibility of the protest to whom he is the wrong number.

Sher Afzal Marwat said that the number of containers the government has installed was not a normal behavior, the government showed panic.

Change in policy against terrorism is very necessary, Sohail Afridi

When the policy of resettlement of terrorists was being made, we raised our voice, we knew that we would have to pick up the bodies, CM

Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has termed the terrorism in the province as dangerous for the entire Pakistan and said that a change in policy is very necessary, we cannot pick up more funerals and see more bloodshed.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi said in a video message that I strongly condemn today's cowardly terrorist attack in Dera Ismail Khan, I am deeply saddened by the martyrdom of our youth and citizens in the blast, this is not the first incident, our Pakhtun brothers are being martyred every day in the new wave of terrorism.

He said that when the policy of resettlement of terrorists was being made, we raised our voice, we knew that once again we would have to pick up dead bodies, we oppose decisions made in closed rooms because they harm the whole of Pakistan.

Sohail Afridi said that our soldiers, policemen and civilians are being martyred in the war against terrorism, a policy has been implemented continuously for the last 22 years but sustainable peace has not been established in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, they are repeatedly saying that this policy needs to be changed but our words are not being listened to.

The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is taking every possible step for peace on its own, by making a cut in its development budget in the year 2025-26, it provided Rs 35 billion for the police out of the budget, provided additional resources for the development of modern weapons, equipment and infrastructure to the police, payments have been made to federal institutions but the required equipment and APCs have not yet been provided to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police.

He said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police is fighting a war on the frontline against terrorists, there should be no further delay in providing the required equipment to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police, the police budget has been increased to Rs 191 billion in the fiscal year 2026-27, which is a 103% increase.

He said that our police personnel, army personnel and ordinary citizens are all our own people, Imran Khan and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf have always made it clear that the army is ours, the country is ours, the police is ours and the people are also ours, our criticism is on the policies of these closed rooms that are harming the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Pakistan.

Sohail Afridi said that we cannot hold more funerals and see more bloodshed, a change in policy is very important, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government gave the provincial action plan to the federation and expressed its ability to bring peace in 100 days, but the question is why the provincial action plan is not being implemented.

Referring to the operations carried out against terrorism in the province in the past, he said that despite 22 major and 14,000 minor operations in 22 years, sustainable peace could not be established in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Our martyred soldiers, policemen and citizens are someone's sons, brothers or fathers. Our mothers and sisters are also being targeted by terrorism. How long will this bloodshed continue? Chief Minister Sohail Afridi said that serious decisions will have to be taken in the interest of Pakistan and Pakistanis, serious efforts will have to be made for sustainable peace by reviewing our policies. If the fire of terrorism is not stopped, it will not be limited to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa but the whole of Pakistan may be engulfed by it. Sohail Afridi said that the people who have been imposed on Pakistan can establish lasting peace, the irresponsible statements of federal ministers are creating hatred and chaos in the country, the inappropriate talk of federal ministers about the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is regrettable, if a federal minister calls the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa terrorists, it is very worrying.

He said that such statements can lead to dividing Pakistan and increasing hatred between the provinces, the people who have imposed these people should direct their ministers to talk responsibly, sometimes I am going to Bannu to visit my martyrs, sometimes I am going to Kohat, sometimes Dir and sometimes Swat, those who do not go among the people should not teach us about public love.

He said that those who have been campaigning against institutions should not teach us to love institutions, those who attacked the Supreme Court should not teach us to respect institutions, Pakistan is currently facing terrorism and economic difficulties, in such circumstances, the rulers should review their priorities. The Chief Minister said that the youth and workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) are conscious, even after May 9, PTI workers are keeping an eye on every provocation, our long march was peaceful, is peaceful and will remain peaceful, on October 4, the people of Pakistan will exercise their right peacefully, peaceful protest is our constitutional and legal right.
