Cypher matter: official secret act case filed against Imran Khan and Shah Mehmood

  It has been decided to register a case under the Official Secrets Act against Chairman PTI and Shah Mehmood Qureshi and others in the cypher missing case and give severe punishments to the involved elements under the Official Secrets Act.


  The FIA has registered a case of missing cypher under the Serious Official Secrets Act 6,5-1923 and Section 34 of the Federal Interior Ministry Secretary Yusuf Naseem Khokhar, in which Chairman PTI and former Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi. including others have been nominated.


  FIA sources said that a case was registered on August 15 against Chairman PTI and Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi and other accused for leaking the cypher showing extreme irresponsibility.


  Sources say that the issue of leaking national security and diplomatic secrets is a very serious and blatant violation of the Official Secrets Act - the said case will be prosecuted according to the relevant suspicions of the Official Secrets Act.


  Sources say that by taking the serious and serious case to its logical conclusion, it has been decided to give severe punishment to the involved elements so that a strong message can be sent to the elements who unnecessarily disclose important national secrets in the future.


  A senior FIA officer said that the way the cypher was illegally leaked and used for nefarious political purposes dealt a serious blow to Pakistan's diplomatic prestige and national security.


  It should be noted that recently a nefarious foreign magazine, Intercept, has also been exposed to a nefarious attempt to achieve political goals by leaking cypher content in a suspicious manner.
